The cast and crew of the short film I will be directing has been confirmed. Bulent Doruker of Digital Film Center will be producing, Hayk Kirakosyan will be acting as cinematographer.
The main cast will consist of Ilyas Ozcakir, Gozde Okumus and Caner Inan.
A Story of Poverty and Love
Garip takes place in the suburbs of old Istanbul where a young man tries to express his love for the girl he loves. Against all odds he has to go through the difficult stages of family, friends, neighbours and his obsessive mother.
The film will be shot on location in Istanbul in August. The short is an accompanying piece to the larger feature film project called Kenardakiler/Rise and Fall to be shot in summer 2015.
